Position Description
RESIDENTIAL NURSE
OMAHA CAMPUS FOR HOPE
1 PART TIME, NON-EXEMPT POSITION AVAILABLE
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Residential Nurse utilizes the nursing process as a framework for practice in the care of clients and provides professional client care utilizing the standards of psychiatric and medical nursing care in accordance with the Agency’s policies and procedures. The Residential Nurse will demonstrate individual professional accountability and responsibility. Program management and the Agency’s mission, values and vision are supported.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse within the state of Nebraska or a reciprocal state, (R.N. preferred).
· A minimum of 1-year nursing experience - experience in addiction/detoxification a plus.
· Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the State of Nebraska or a reciprocal state.
· CPR, Health Professional, through the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
· Current and valid driver’s license.
*Catholic Charities expects any staff in a recovery program for substance abuse and/or mental illness, have a minimum of 2 years continuous recovery.
