Position Description
HDR/eM is looking for the Director, Federal Programs NEPA to work in our Fairfax, VA office. The Director, Federal Programs NEPA is a leadership role and will be responsible for the following:
Direct oversight to all Project Managers working nation-wide on projects within the NEPA Business Area to include, quality control, personnel project assignment, preparation of technical white papers, and cost estimates
Develop and implement a marketing plan for the NEPA Business Area on a nation-wide basis covering multiple existing and targeted Federal clients
Project reconciliation
Coordinate with Client Coordinators for feedback on customer satisfaction
Mentor professionals and perform annual performance reviews within the Business Area
Business Development
Proposal preparation and presentation
Bachelors degree in a related field.
10+ years project management and technical experience on NEPA related projects for federal clients, including DOD, DHS, DOI, and GSA.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to handle multiple assignments.
Good leadership and organizational skills.
Candidate should have excellent marketing and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships in the NEPA business.
Previous experience managing staff, clients, contracts and hiring staff for an engineering/planning consulting firm is desired.
Position will require travel up to 2 weeks per month.
