Maintain and repair a variety of machines and equipment. Supervise and train inmates working on a variety of labor assignments.  Maintain boilers and chillers.  Operate and adjust vacuum and feed water pumps, compressors, turbines, generators, water softeners and other related plant equipment.  Clean and upkeep of cooling towers and associated equipment Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic control systems.  Serve as maintenance Officer of the Day for a week at a time. 

REQUIREMENTS:  One year experience or training in construction/building maintenance and repairs. Experience in keeping logs and chemical inventories. Be able to read and interpret blueprints. Must be able to climb scaffolding/ladder; lift 40 lbs. overhead.  Must have a valid driver's license.  DESIRED: Experience in HVAC, refrigeration or pneumatic controls. Experience in pump and motor repair. Selected candidate is subject to physical exam/screening, must pass a drug test and successfully complete the NE Corrections Training Program.
