Position Description

HOURS: 7:00 a.m. –3:30 p.m. Mon-Fri, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on weekends. 40 hrs a week, days off: week one- Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday; week two: Friday.
Transport and escort the veteran members to and from medical other appointments as necessary. When not transporting members, will be performing nursing duties involved in the general and/or extensive care of elderly, mentally, physically challenged members at the Eastern Nebraska Veterans' Home under direct supervision of a Nurse Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age and completed an approved 76-hour Nursing Assistant course. Ability to do heavy lifting on a daily basis. Ability to stoop, bend, reach overhead and walk or stand, up to 90% of the shift. Successful completion of the Medication Aide course within first year of employment. Will be required to successfully complete and pass the State of Nebraska Defensive Driving Course. Valid driver's license is required.
